Science Advocacy 101
In this webinar, attorneys from the Climate Science Legal Defense Fund will discuss ways that scientists can apply their expertise towards the policy and lawmaking process. CSLDF attorneys will explain how scientists can participate in campaigning for science-forward candidates of their choice, engage with Congress on legislative matters, and participate in other avenues for governmental change. In addition to covering general First Amendment rights as they pertain to scientists, CSLDF attorneys will also explain how scientists can be most effective in their advocacy efforts, such as at protests and when engaging in science activism, while offering tips for avoiding potential pitfalls.
