CSLDF’s Director Nominated for 2017 Pritzker Environmental Genius Award
We’re excited to share that Lauren Kurtz, our executive director, is one of 20 nominees for the inaugural Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award, meant to honor and support environmental leaders under the age of 40 who are driving change for the benefit of the plant.
The award, which is administered by the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at the University of California, Los Angeles, comes with a $100,000 prize to help fuel the recipient’s innovative ideas and accelerate their success.
Kurtz was nominated by David Biello, a science journalist, in recognition of her work protecting climate science and scientists. She joined CSLDF in 2015 as our first executive director and has played a critical role in advancing our mission and expanding our efforts to assist and support the climate science community.
The winner of the award will be announced on November 8, 2017.
Congrats, Lauren!
