Become a CSLDF Campus Rep

We’re pleased to announce that we’re holding a second training for our new Campus Representative Program and are seeking law professors to become Campus Reps.

Our first training was held in April and it was a great success. You can read about it and see photos of some of your colleagues in The New York Times article, “Under Fire, Climate Scientists Unite With Lawyers to Fight Back.”

The Campus Reps Program is designed to help us connect with law professors who will serve as the first point of contact at their institution for university scientists with questions about legal issues.

We ask that Campus Reps to volunteer to hold periodic workshops on their campuses to educate scientists on their legal rights and responsibilities (largely to educate scientists on applicable open records laws), and to direct scientists to us as needed. We do not ask Campus Representatives to provide direct representation, but instead to help us with our outreach and educational efforts. All educational materials are provided by CSLDF.

This training will be via webinar and is tentatively scheduled for early August. The exact date will depend on participant availability, but it will likely be August 3, 4, or 9.
